The Intersection of Tradition, Technical Mastery, and Conservation.
The Studio Established in 2011, Glass Artistry is a premier Brisbane-based studio dedicated to the preservation and creation of world-class architectural glass. Specializing in high-stakes restoration and bespoke commissions, the studio serves ecclesiastical, corporate, and private clients who require the highest level of technical precision and artistic integrity. We approach every project—from heritage-listed stained glass conservation to large-scale contemporary installations—with a commitment to longevity and craftsmanship. All conservation and restoration works undertaken by Glass Artistry are performed in strict accordance with the principles of the Australia ICOMOS Burra Charter, ensuring the highest standards of technical integrity and cultural heritage preservation.
Expertise & Pedigree Lead artist Magdalena Marciniak brings an unparalleled global perspective to the studio. Holding a Master of Arts with First Class Honours from the University of Rzeszow and a Higher Diploma in Art Glass Design from the Glasgow Metropolitan College, Magdalena’s work is underpinned by rigorous academic training and decades of practical experience. Her mastery of “painting with glass” has been honed through direct mentorship with world-renowned glass visionary Narcissus Quagliata, allowing the studio to offer innovative kiln-forming alongside traditional methods.
Her expertise is further refined by specialized international training, including glass conservation at the Corning Museum of Glass (USA) and Heritage Stained Glass Restoration at Bryn Athyn College (USA).
With a portfolio that includes award-winning panels and exhibitions at major art fairs in the UK and Australia, Magdalena ensures that Glass Artistry remains at the forefront of the medium. Whether restoring a 19th-century window or engineering a modern glass facade, the studio provides the technical certainty and creative depth required for projects of significant cultural and architectural importance. This rare combination of conservation expertise and visionary design ensures that every project is executed to museum-quality standards.
